You can use a single LED and resistor for both the logic probe and the continuity tester. These parts can be obtained from any local electronics store such as Radio Shack. The battery can be any battery that produces between 5 and 9 volts. A 9 volt transistor radio battery works fine for this. When using an LED always make sure that you have a resistor in line with it as shown in the diagram.
